PENN Launches theScore Casino app in Ontario

Gambling and entertainment company PENN Entertainment has announced the recent launch of its online casino app theScore Casino, in the Ontario market.

PENN’s launch of what it describes as a stand-alone iCasino app takes on its existing Canadian sportsbook brand, theScore Bet. Sportsbook users can also use their credentials to access the new casino.

theScore Casino will be available on Android, iOS, and desktop devices and will offer various title games from PENN’s in-house gaming studio PENN Game Studios, as well as slot, table games, and live dealer content.

Players will also be able to access exclusive games from theScore Bet’s partnership with MLB team the Toronto Blue Jays, including Blue Jays Blackjack.

ToonieBet to Become Official Casino Partner of the Ottawa Senators

The National Hockey League team, the Ottawa Senators, has announced its new official casino partner, ToonieBet. 

“We are thrilled to welcome ToonieBet as an official partner of the Ottawa Senators,” said Martin Ballard, Vice President of Corporate Partnerships for the Senators. “Cooperating with a brand that shares our commitment to providing fans with an exceptional experience is incredibly exciting. ToonieBet is a gaming brand of casino and sportsbook operator Soft2Bet which was granted its gaming license from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario in March 2024.

The Ottawa Senators’ collaboration with Tooniebet involves ToonieBet branding posted throughout the Sen’s social and digital platforms, as well as appearing on regional broadcasts and dashboards. Fans can also experience exclusive contests and giveaways hosted by ToonieBet, which include the chance to win Sens merchandise and tickets.

Playnetic Granted Supplier Gaming License by AGCO

Online content provider Playnetic has expanded into the Canadian market after securing its first supplier license from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO). 

Playnetic is now able to supply operators in Ontario with its gaming library. It is eyeing further expansions throughout the country, including Alberta, which has recently introduced its own bill (Bill 48) at the end of March that would regulate iGaming in the province.

Playnetic also announced that it would attend the SBC Canadian Gaming Summit between June 17-19.
