Loto-Québec reports an increase in net income and revenue in Q2
Loto-Québec has released its latest financial report for the second quarter of the 2024-25 fiscal year. It revealed that net income was up 18.5% year-over-year to $421.6 million, while total revenue also increased by 16.1% to $814.2 million. Jean-François Bergeron, President and CEO of Loto-Québec, commented: “We obtained excellent results despite the economic context, reinforcing our confidence that we’ll reach our net income annual target. Remember that 100% of our profits are reinvested in the community.”
Push Gaming launches in Ontario in partnership with BetMGM
Casino software provider Push Gaming has partnered with BetMGM, launching its iGaming content in Ontario via BetMGM Casino and Wheel of Fortune Casino. Oliver Bartlett, BetMGM’s VP of Gaming Product and Content, said, “Push Gaming’s exciting slots resonate with players and elevate the iGaming experience.” Players now have access to games such as Retro Tapes, Razor Returns, and Big Bamboo. Pending regulatory approval, BetMGM is also set to become the exclusive US partner of Push Gaming in 2025.
FanDuel becomes the PWHL’s official sportsbook and streaming partner
FanDuel will stream up to 90 Professional Women’s Hockey League (PWHL) games per season as its new official sportsbook and in-app streaming partner. Dale Hooper, the General Manager of FanDuel Canada, commented on the new arrangement: “FanDuel is proud to partner with the PWHL and support the league’s incredible athletes. This partnership is about creating a new era of fan engagement – one that brings hockey closer to fans while helping grow the visibility of women’s professional sports.”

Aviatrix takes a huge step towards North American expansion
Secure cloud networking software Aviatrix has secured a license from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO). “We’re already present in many markets across Europe, so it is fantastic to add a province in Canada to the list,” commented Anastasia Rimskaya, Chief Account Officer at Aviatrix. Players in North America can now access the company’s crash game for the first time.
Ontario regulator orders Woodbine to implement measures to protect racehorses
AGCO is responding to an increase in catastrophic equine injuries at Woodbine Racetrack. AGCO has directed the track to implement a series of measures to reduce the risk, including preventing any racehorse from racing more than once every 14 calendar days. The commission says it is committed to protecting the wellbeing and safety of horses and racing participants.
AGCO recognized as one of Greater Toronto’s Top Employers for 2025
AGCO also announced that it has been selected as one of Greater Toronto’s Top Employers for a second consecutive year. The commission was recognized for its focus on continual learning and development within the workplace, as it has many programs and initiatives in place to help employees reach their full potential, including the Emerging Leaders program, which was introduced in 2023. “We are not a static organization,” said AGCO CEO and Registrar Dr. Karin Schnarr.
Ontario Auditor General shares 2024 annual report
On Tuesday, the Auditor General of Ontario presented its 2024 annual report, including a section that was a follow-up to a 2022 review of Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corp’s operations. “As part of this strategy since our 2022 audit, OLG began introducing games every week with new features to drive engagement,” Tuesday’s follow-up report said. “Between February 1, 2024, and April 30, 2024, OLG introduced 80 new games or about six new games per week.”
